I told you I hate gimmick picks. If you took a 3 team parlay on WVA, Cal and UCLA, then you gave a little back on a not so bad 4-2 week. Cal had the game in hand with a late 34-14 lead, but took their focus off the game and allowed the Rams to score two TD’s in the span of 53 seconds. Jacksonasses!!
I was at the Rose Bowl, and Ben Olson looked HORRIBLE!! We stole the wrong guy from BYU. Their QB, Max Hall, looked really impressive despite some costly mistakes that cost them the game. The Bruin defense bailed them out (and us) on Saturday.
That said, the Bruin line against Utah opened up at -12.5 and has now moved to -13.5. The Bruins are pretty nicked up from the beating BYU’s bruisers game them on Saturday, so some key starters (Nikola Dragovic, Brigham Harwell on defense and Breazell on offense) could be out this weekend. Nonetheless, this line will continue moving past 2 TDs and will likely end around -15 by Saturday. Take the Bruins to cover on the road against a Utah team that has not met expectations in 2007 (losing to Oregon State and Air Force and failing to cover in both). They also lost their starting QB and top running back in the opener, so they’re still reeling. This is not Urban Meyer’s Utah Utes anymore.
