I know why you keep coming back

The Hammer has made everyone money this year, except of course, the house.  My NCAA record is over .600, and my combined NCAA/NFL record is on the north side of .650.  No other handicapper on the web can claim that kind of record this year.  For the hell of it, I might just win them all this week.

Oklahoma at Texas Tech (+8) - Hammer’s pick OKLAHOMA

Oklahoma State at Baylor (+14) - Hammer’s pick OKLAHOMA STATE

Iowa State (+26½) at Kansas - Hammer’s pick KANSAS

Missouri at Kansas State (+7) - Hammer’s pick MISSOURI

Picks from the best NFL handicapper on the web!

Lets keep making money!

Dallas at NY Giants (+1½) - Hammer’s pick DALLAS

The Giants have won six straight, but those six games have been against six of the ten worst teams in the NFL.

Detroit (+1) at Arizona - Hammer’s pick DETROIT (Double Play)

This is a game Detroit knows that have to win in order to remain in the NFC playoff hunt, and they will be able to throw all over the Cardinals secondary.

Cincinnati (+4) at Baltimore - Hammer’s pick BALTIMORE

These are two really bad teams with really bad coaches, but I like the Ravens defense better than the Bengals offense.

Buffalo at Miami (+3) - Hammer’s pick BUFFALO (Double Play)

This line really confuses me because of the three points Vegas gives the home team.  There is no way you would see a PK line if this was played at a neutral field.

Atlanta (+4) at Carolina - Hammer’s pick CAROLINA

The Panthers will be starting an undrafted free agent at quarterback, which is slightly better than starting Joey Harrington.

Chicago at Oakland (+3½) - Hammer’s pick CHICAGO

This will also be an extremely low scoring game, so parlay the under as well.

Minnesota (+6) at Green Bay - Hammer’s pick MINNESOTA

Adrian Peterson will single handedly keep the game close enough for the Vikings to cover.

Indianapolis at San Diego (+3½) - Hammer’s pick INDIANAPOLIS

The Colts will have a big bounce back game after last weeks heart breaker against the Patriots.

Denver (+3) at Kansas City - Hammer’s pick KC

I am literally going to make in the high five figures this year simply by betting against the Broncos every week.  This is a bad team……

St. Louis (+11½) at New Orleans - Hammer’s pick ST. LOUIS

This is my upset special of the week, as I can see the Rams winning this game outright.  The matchups look really good for the Rams this week.

Cleveland (+9½) at Pittsburgh - Hammer’s pick CLEVELAND

The Browns offense will keep this game close enough to cover.

Jacksonville (+4) at Tennessee - Hammer’s pick TENNESSE

These are two of the better teams in the AFC who do it all with defense.  The under will be a nice play as well.

Philadelphia (+3) at Washington - Hammer’s pick PHILADELPHIA

I think the Eagles have 1-2 big games in them this year because of their pride, and this looks like one of them.

San Francisco (+10) at Seattle - Hammer’s pick SF

The winner of the NFC West this year is going to be a joke, and no team from that division should ever be a double digit favorite.

My Amazing Run Continues…..

Over the past few weeks I am even amazing myself on how solid my picks have been. Including my premium picks, I am running at an insane .763 clip over the past 3 weeks!!!! The Hammer is definitely in mid season form, and making a strong push towards the finish line. My goal is to finish over .700 for the entire year, which would make it a top 5 finish in my 18 seasons of handicapping.

Colorado at Iowa State (+4) - Hammer’s pick COLORADO

Don’t fall for the hype over the Cyclones’ fluke win last week over Kansas State. Colorado is a legit Big 12 team again, and Iowa State is still the Baylor of the Big 12 North.

Texas A&M at Missouri (-19) – Hammer’s pick MISSOURI

Word leaked this week that Fran is out as head coach when the year is over, and the players hear the same rumors we do. Expect a Nebraska like performance this week from the Aggies as they get destroyed by Missouri.

Kansas State at Nebraska (+7.5) – Hammer’s pick KANSAS STATE

The Nebraska team and their coach quit about 4 weeks ago. Expect much of the same this week as Kansas State blows out the Cornhuskers.

Texas Tech at Texas (-6.5) – Hammer’s pick TEXAS

Tech always chokes against top talent, and they always collapse down the stretch when they have a chance to make a move in the standings. Texas will roll easily in the battle for state supremacy.

Baylor at Oklahoma (-38) – Hammer’s pick OKLAHOMA

We might see the lights flicker on the scoreboard when OU puts up triple digits this week against Baylor. I have bet against Baylor every week this year, and they have yet to cover. Easy money.

Kansas at Oklahoma Sate (+6) – Hammer’s pick KANSAS

Kansas can smell a BCS bid, and the kids on this team are too focused to overlook a tough OSU team. Kansas should be able to get out of Stillwater with a double-digit win.

The Bone’s Picks

I spent the last two weeks on my system.  I can’t believe I didn’t see the patterns earlier.  One quick tweak to my algorithms and I WOULD have been 63%, not 54% this year.  But that doesn’t matter to my legion of followers.  Sorry.  Make it up this week with 5X bets.  Well The Bone is pure and perfect this week.   I love this week and I can’t thank Greg Fresler enough for helping me back solve my glitch.

So here are the monster picks.  We are going 4-0.  go 5x and it is 20-0.  Imagine that!  Dial in how much money you would like to earn this week.

Black vs. Scarlet.  Let’s start out with tonight’s trick game. People think Rutgers, they still think pounding, thundering and big scores.  Well this is 2007, not 2006.  You think Army and you think a bunch of space cadets running perhaps the most anemic offense, second only to the Golden Domers.  Well, the Scarlet Knights are looking at 5 straight losses right between the eyes if they lose here.  Their QB is injured and home cooking is going to be served to their depleted O line.  Army plays well at home, where they are a perfect 3-0.  19.5 points is a lot to give and an upset is brewing here.  The computer says Army has a 34% chance of winning and 83% chance of covering.   Let’s have a great Friday KNIGHT.

Here’s the easiest game on the board - COLORADO.  Giving four to the lowly Cyclones at hoe is a no brainer.  The Mizzou game got out of hand, but the Buffs can redeem themselves and play for a bowl game and spare their dignity.  This is a team that beat Oki and Texas Tech.  Iowa St. has not won a single game on the road and this won’t be the game.  Cody Hawkins will get back on track this week against a porous pass defense .  Computer say s 11, the line says 4.   Easy pick.

Wolverines.  They are going to run the table and go to the Rose Bowl.  With H&H back in rhythm for the first time this year, this is an easy win.  Yes, the Buckeyes will be on their minds, but this is not the big game.  Next week is.  Expect domination here and Manningham to catch 3 TDs.  The computer predicts a 16 point victory, we’ll be happy with 5.

One of the most underrated teas in the land is Houston.  They have one of the best offenses in the nation.  This game locks them up for the conference title game.  Double A (Alridge) is the2nd best RB in the conference, second only to Forte.  An purpose back in the mold of Maurice Jones Drew, he is going to make his last stand here.  Tulsa, another gun slinging offense just lacks the defense to keep up with Houston.  This game is going into the 80s, but the real pick is Houston at a pick ‘em.

Freebie…

Bulldogs.  Hawaii has been trampling teams at home, averaging 58 points at home.  FSU is a good away team, winning their last two and playing A&M VERY tough on the road.  Their pass defense is one of the best in the conference and these guys live for these games.  17 points is a lot to give up in this fierce rivalry game.  I don’t love this one, but I believe in Pat Hill and this is his chance to FINALLY shake off the Reggie Bush rolling from two years ago.  this is the biggest game of the year for them and with the Utah St demons behind them, they can play their game again.

#1 NFL Handicapper on the web

The Hammer is 17-9 over the past two weeks in the NFL. I dare you to find another handicapper on the web anywhere close to that. I hope you have taken the Hammer’s advice, because if you did you are reading this post from your new vacation home in The Bahamas.

San Francisco (+3) at Atlanta - Hammer’s pick ATLANTA

San Francisco has to be the most disappointing team in the NFL this year. They are just unable to move the ball, and that does not change this week.

Cincinnati at Buffalo (+1) - Hammer’s pick CINCINNATI

This is a match up of mismatches with the Bengal’s passing offense going up against a bad Buffalo secondary. The Bills will not be able to score enough points to keep up.

Seattle (+1½) at Cleveland - Hammer’s pick SEATTLE

Cleveland has been a nice story to follow this year, but they are not a top 15 team yet. Seattle has been disappointing, but they are good enough to handle the Browns.

Denver (+3) at Detroit - Hammer’s pick DENVER

The Denver secondary is going to be able to slow down the Lions passing attack, but the Lions defense will not be able to do the same. I see a 1-2 point game here, so take the points.

Green Bay (+2) at Kansas City - Hammer’s pick GB (Double Play)

I don’t get this line at all. A one loss Packer team going against the Herm Edwards coached Chiefs, and the Packers get the points?

San Diego at Minnesota (+7) - Hammer’s pick SD

The secret weapon for this game will be Chris Chambers. Phillip Rivers now has a legitimate #1 receiver to go alongside Gates.

New England at Indianapolis (+5) - Hammer’s pick NE

The game of the century is going to turn into a blowout in the second half. Brady and Moss will step on the gas in the 3rd quarter to put this one out of reach.

Jacksonville (+3) at New Orleans - Hammer’s pick NO

The Saints are starting to put it together, and the Jags now have the worst passing attack in the NFL. The Saints will score too many points for the Jags to keep up.

Houston (+3) at Oakland - Hammer’s pick HOUSTON

The bigger question is, will anyone even be watching this game as it goes head-to-head with Colts-Pats?

Arizona (+3½) at Tampa Bay - Hammer’s pick TAMPA BAY (Double Play)

The Bucs should win this one easily at home against another disappointing Arizona team. When will the media stop over hyping the Cardinals in season previews? Do they ever learn?

Carolina (+4) at Tennessee - Hammer’s pick TENNESSE

Tennessee remains the most under appreciated team in the NFL. The Titans running attack is going to put up big numbers this week.

Washington at NY Jets (+3½) - Hammer’s pick WASHINGTON (Double Play)

The Redskins are going to want to make a statement after last weeks blowout in New England. Combine that with a really bad Jets team, and this should be an easy Redskins victory.

Dallas at Philadelphia (+3) - Hammer’s pick DALLAS

Demarcus Ware is going to have a big day against a shaky Eagles offense line and an immobile McNabb. Romo will carve up the Philly D on the way to an easy win.

Baltimore (+9½) at Pittsburgh - Hammer’s pick BALTIMORE

The Steelers should win this game, but 9.5 points is just to many to give up against this proud Raven’s defense.

Final PAC-10 Pick

Injuries killed the Bruins.  No accounting for that….but you can count on Cal -15 tonight vs. Cougs.  Make up for the Bruins loss with a Bears win.

Tiger Woods and PowderBlue

Why did PowderBlue take a week off to re-examine his strategy after posting a perfect 4-0 record in the PAC-10?  That’s like asking why Tiger Woods took time off to retool his swing after winning four straight majors?  Because perfect is never good enough.  We at NCAA Experts are not one week wonders….we’re here to take care of you over the long haul.  Don’t worry about Social Security going bankrupt…you’ve got your retirement funds right here at NCAA experts.Keep compounding your returns by laying all your winnings on this week’s PAC-10 picks:UCLA over Arizona (pk)Bruins’ leading rusher is out for the year.  Starting QB is a hobbled back-up by the name of Pat Cowan.  Defense just gave up 500+ yards on the road to PAC-10 cellar dweller Wash St.   Fans are calling for the head of UCLA coach Karl Dorrell.  This is a no-brainer!!  TAKE THE BRUINS!  When all is lost, and expectations are at its lowest, the Bruins prevail.  This is as easiest as it get.Stanford (+3) vs. WashingtonWillingham returns to his old stomping grounds to avenge an embarrassing loss last season.  Don’t count on it…the nation’s toughest schedule has taken its toll on the Huskies and despite facing a substandard Stanford team, they just don’t have enough to pull out a road victory.ASU +8 vs. OregonEveryone is high on Dixon and the Ducks and Autzen is a tough place to play, but Sun Devils will bring enough sunshine to keep it close.  Ducks win by 4.SC -15.5 vs. Oregon StateTrojans have failed to meet expectations by any measure.  4-4 against the spread is not going to cut it either, but you can count on the friendly confines of the Coliseum and the return of Booty to swing things in USC’s favor.  This is a 3 TD victory against a turnover prone QB and an injured tailback.
